Lisa earned a PhD in Organismal Biology and Anatomy from the University of Chicago and was a professor of Biology specializing in anatomy, physiology and evolution of animals. After leaving academia, she followed her passion for interior design and began her business, Design Smart. In her 11 years in the industry, she has worked with thousands of clients to design and stage their homes and offices. She has won the Best of South Sound in Interior Design for the last eight years. She is an Advanced Certified Past Life Regression Coach and uses additional metaphysical tools, including Human Design, in her work.

Lisa LOVES to travel! So far, she has been to Bali, Thailand, Australia, Morocco, Belize, Mexico, England, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Canada, and all but 4 states within the US. She just returned from Tanzania and Zanzibar.
She loves doing eco-tourism when she travels, as well as seeing ancient sites and fully taking in the culture. She's been able to have some amazing animal experiences, including feeding and bathing elephants, swimming with whale sharks, manta rays, manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, and other beautiful marine creatures (she is an avid animal lover).
Lisa is a former dancer/choreographer and taught jazz/contemporary dance in high school and college. She has been designing jewelry for almost 30 years.
She is married to the love of her life, Skip. She has two beautiful children, Nohwa and Curran, and is a proud fur parent of Jaxx (a rescue pomeranian) and two black cats, Bindi and Chana.
